About Conference

4th International Conference on Environmental Sciences and Sustainability (ICESS2024)

ICESS2024 ICESS 2024 is a regular peer-reviewed conference on environmental issues. The conference has been successfully held for three years since 2021, consecutively at Al-Qasim Green University ,College of Environmental Sciences. Due to Corona Virus pandemic, conferences, all over the world, have been in virtual mode since 2020. After the pandemic, the latest conference, IVCES-2023, was held at Al-Qasim Green University and had both physical and virtual modes.

Now, the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Sciences and Sustainability (ICESS-2024) will be held in cooperation with University of Tehran, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, hosted by Al-Qasim Green University, College of Environmental Sciences, on (18th - 19th) Dec 2024.

It is a scientific forum wherein the latest scientific research papers are presented and discussed. The conference with its publications will serve as a catalyst for further improvements in relevant research in environmental issues and sustainability.

The topics of the conference will be covered in the latest studies and research on environmental sciences and sustainability, which help to find solutions for environmental problems such as (air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, Environmental Health, Environmental treatment and Solar Energy). The conference will also cover the environmental green technology section, which plays an important role in maintaining the achievement of sustainable development goals and promoting renewable energy sources.

Aims of the Conference

ICESS2024 brings together scientists, academics, authors, and students to enhance communication and discussion among them, and to exchange their experiences, ideas, and knowledge related to environmental sciences and sustainable development.

Visions will be drawn, and cooperation between various organizations and institutions in the world will be encouraged to open scientific channels to address various contemporary issues and challenges in the environmental field. The scientific concepts that support modern biotechnologies, how to exploit innovations, and the trend toward biofuels and waste conversion technologies , all will be discussed as well. Thus:

  • 1. Scientists, academics, ecologist, authors, research scholars, and students will meet to foster communication and dialogue, to share and exchange their experiences , ideas, or knowledge concerning the Environment, Environmental Health, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Development.
  • 2. The conference establishes an interdisciplinary forum for critical discussion in key areas related to a variety of topics, such as green and sustainable development, climate change, environmental pollution, environmental health, environmental technology and sustainable management, ecosystem and biodiversity conservation, and finally, environmental education and legislation.
  • 3. It provides an excellent platform for publishing research articles on a vast array of environmental and sustainable development issues that are closely related.
  • 4. It offers a scientific gateway, in the form of workshops and seminars into the most up-to-date technologies and methods for an extensive variety of environmental and sustainable development research. This conference will assist, contributing to, and proposing, solutions for existing concerns and difficulties.
  • 5. It concludes and stimulates collaboration between various international institutional bodies to develop scientific channels to address these concerns and challenges.

  • 1. The submitted papers must be aligned with the conference topics and written in English only.
    2. Authors must adhere to the scientific conditions and align with the policy of the IOP:EES publishing journal in writing style and scope.
    3. The submitted papers should be original and not previously published or accepted for publication in any other conference or scientific journal.
    4. All submitted papers are subject to peer reviewer's decisions from inside or outside Iraq.
    5. All submitted papers are subject to similarity score at a rate not exceeding 20%.

  • All papers accepted at ICESS-2024 will be published in the IOP Conference proceedings Series: Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES), with fees of ($200) including publication of paper and attendance at conference sessions.
  • All submitted papers must be aligned with the editorial policy, publication guidelines, writing style, and scope of IOP:EES journal, as conditions for publication.

  • Conference administration is neither responsible for publishing a paper submitted for publication due to non-compliance with publishing conditions; nor for refunding or recovering the publishing fees to those authors according to IOP publishing agreement.
  • Attending the ICESS-2024 is also possible to obtain a certificate of participation only, with ($ 25) as a fee.
  • Participants will pay for accommodation and living expenses (If needed).
